AbstractIn the «Vogue Special» named magazine are two fashion courses re-enacted. Through this re-enact ion the world of the poor and the rich are united. Due to the fact of the strong contrast in-between these duality’s, query the authenticity and realness of images in fashion magazines. |
Our project «Vogue Special» deals with polarities in our society. In our case we chose models and homeless. We decided to make a new magazine «Vogue Special». We took two fashion courses out of the reel «Vogue» magazine and re-enacted the courses with homeless people we found at the homeless theatre «Die Ratten 07» in Berlin. We attended to hold the original design of the pictures, like the pose situation and the colour. We also kept the original text and layout used in the original magazine «Vogue». This mixture affords a strong contrast, which makes clear to the recipient the drifting apart of the two society poles. Due to enormous resonance we could publish the «Vogue Special» in the magazine for homeless people named «Die Stütze» in summer 2003.
