Keyget |

|
AbstractKeyget’s are little gadget’s that are placed on the keypad. On the keyboard, Keyget’s translate shortcuts into known and intuitive used operating elements. Using Keyget´s programs are intuitively usable. |
Like the name Keyget already says, a Keyget is a gadGET, which is to be used on a KEYbord. Through the Keyget it will be possible to access abstract shortcuts via intuitive to understanding tools.
Therefore the Keyget should be able to translate mechanically the shortcuts into an easy to understanding way for everyone.
The origins of the computer are in calculating and writing machines. In this times assessing a computer via keyboard were very comfortable, because the usage was limited to alphanumerical data. Later on the graphical Interface comes up and the mouse granted the access to this new area. The computer was not only used for writing and calculating any more, so that the computer now tries to be everything, at least virtually.
So it’s today normal that the computer is a Hifi, Phone, Pinball, Cinema, and photo laboratory or a cutting place for movie and or audio cutting.
Like anyone can imagine being such a bunch of virtual machines at the same time, it needs also a lot of different user tools to access them. Normally they are spread over the graphical interface or can be found via shortcuts (sometimes user defined) at the keyboard. In the graphical interface I can access them very slow and I have to look for them, and on the keyboard I have always to look for them, and then to learn them. But the main thing is that the original function has nothing to do with the shortcut. It’s just a convention that makes some things on the keyboard logical. Therefore is the function abstract, isolated and has nothing to do with the original function and movement according to it. Like we can see at the track wheel versus the arrow to the right, left.

TeleKey
The TeleKey looks, feels and is to be used like a normal phone, with the only difference that someone is using VoIP. Just putting the Telekey on the keyboard and the user is abel to phone via Skype to the desired Person. Hanging up and mechanically is the shortcut for making a call put into the keyboard, like wise the numbers and the final hang on.
The Telekey recode the input and makes my mother be able to call me via Skype.

The ItuneKey looks and feels like a HIFI. But is just like the Telekey gadget put on the keyboard and instantly someone can choose the channel /play list of desire. The intelligent mechanic inside the gadget translate the input on the radio, to the right shortcut and from now on ITunes follows on rotation.

Long desired and now real, the FlipKey for my iBook. Just put on the keyboard and the fun cannot wait any more. This is the end with the fear of loosing the right key for pouching the ball and hitting the table in the right direction. Like the other KeyGets FlipKey allows just to use computer as if it is a real Pinball machine.
