Pattern

Abstract

This work accrue to the subject surface mutations. In one continues pattern the crystallization process of water is shown. Therefore are water drops mutating to snow crystals and these further more to ice crystalline structures.

Concept

This work was made to the subject of surface mutations. We got the task to make a Leporello out of seven A3 papers. There were the following important aspects we had to match:

_dot pattern
_line pattern
_surface pattern
_surface pattern out of dot pattern
_surface mutation
_changing from surface to spatial pattern
_free composition

Every A3 paper should show one of the aspects. It was a free choice to make separate papers for each one of the aspects, or to combine them to one continues work. Because I wanted to show the cristalation process I decided to make one continues Leporello.
The work is starting with a water drop and mutates row for row to snow crystals  and lately finishes with a crystalline structure. So the  2D mutation is starting in the black goes from dot to  line in constantly movement to surface and is ending in the white space.

This is a leporello were you can see surface mutations. Sarting from the drop of water the from mutates to snow christalls and ends furtermore in 3D room with ice cristalls.
